Q: Tell me the no nonsense facts about why I should use washable pads instead of supermarket products that are “easy”?
A: Well, this is an “easy” question to answer. The reasons are many, but mainly there will be three impacts:

Q: Just how economical are they – they seem quite expensive?
A: Compared to disposable products they would seem quite costly, but the beauty of them is that they last you 5 years on average. A woman with a regular flow would spend approximately $600.00 over this period on products that imbed themselves in your tissues, cause ph imbalances and then are flushed away taking years to break down, whereas you can purchase washable cloths for an average set-up of $150.00. Q: Aren't they messy?
A: Not at all, most women are surprised at how absorbent they are, They contain layers of winceyette and toweling and because of Moontime’s unique design extra inners can be added or removed to suit your flow.
Q: Wouldn't they smell?
A. Most women are surprised to find that they smell less than the supermarket pads. This is because supermarket pads have waterproof liners and they trap odors and neglect air flow. 100% cotton cloths are breathable and you change them as you would an ordinary pad.
Q: Don't they feel bulky?

Q: Aren't they a hassle to wash?
A. No, if you are at home, just put your used cloth straight into your soak bucket and wash with your next load. If you are out and about you can just rinse your cloth and place in the wet compartment of your handy Moontime pouch or in a plastic bag and soak when you get home. Some women choose to put their soak water on the garden for amazing results! If you have stains (this is usually when it’s been a while before you got them into soak water) soaking them with some eco whitener and warm water removes them completely.
